Belt-type self-discharging permanent magnetic iron separator is equipment used to remove magnetic impurities from materials. Its working principle is based on the magnetic field characteristics of permanent magnets and the material conveying process.

Firstly, a powerful permanent magnet assembly is installed inside the device, generating a high-intensity and evenly distributed magnetic field. When materials are transported under the iron separator by a belt conveyor, magnetic impurities in the materials, such as iron filings, nails and iron blocks, will be attracted by the magnetic field of the permanent magnets.

Driven by magnetic force, magnetic impurities are adsorbed onto the belt surface. As the belt keeps running, the section of the belt carrying adsorbed magnetic impurities passes through a designated area of the separator, commonly known as the self-discharging zone.

Within the self-discharging zone, the magnetic field strength changes or special mechanical structures are adopted to reduce the magnetic force acting on the magnetic impurities. Meanwhile, vibration and inertia generated during belt operation cause the magnetic impurities to fall off the belt, achieving automatic discharge.

The working principle of belt-type self-discharging permanent magnetic iron separators features high efficiency, energy saving and no need for external power supply. It can continuously perform iron removal on materials, ensure normal operation of equipment in subsequent production processes, improve product quality, and reduce equipment wear and failures caused by magnetic impurities.

In practical applications, to guarantee iron removal performance, it is necessary to properly select the separator model, magnetic field strength and installation position according to factors including material properties (such as particle size, humidity and magnetic impurity content), conveying speed and on-site installation conditions.

In addition, regular inspection and maintenance of the iron separator are essential for long-term stable operation and favorable iron removal results. Maintenance tasks include clearing debris adsorbed on the separator surface, checking whether the magnetic strength of permanent magnets has declined, and verifying the normal running status of the belt.
