A demagnetizer is equipment used to eliminate residual magnetism generated during machining. It generates magnetic flux lines via electromagnetic coils, which interfere with the original magnetism of workpieces directly or indirectly to realize demagnetization. Demagnetizers are mainly classified into platform demagnetizers and frame demagnetizers. A platform demagnetizer guides the magnetic flux of coils to a flat surface through an iron core for workpiece demagnetization. A frame demagnetizer lets workpieces pass through its coil interior, so magnetic flux lines cut the residual magnetism of workpieces to achieve demagnetization. Alternating current is required to energize the coils of demagnetizers. Modified demagnetizers can be used as iron removers and other equipment.

Installation and operation of the frame demagnetizer:First, complete the wiring of the frame demagnetizer. Connect the three outgoing power cords of the demagnetizer respectively to two live wires of 380V alternating current and one neutral wire. An external travel switch can be fitted to replace manual operation on production lines. 

An axial flow fan is installed on the top of the demagnetizer to meet the long-time operation requirements of special users. For manual demagnetization: after switching on the power supply, the power indicator lights up. Place the workpiece inside the frame opening, shift the mode switch to the manual position, and demagnetization starts with the demagnetization indicator on. After about 5 seconds, slowly take the workpiece out of the frame opening, then switch the mode back to stop or automatic position. The demagnetizer will stop automatically after a 6-second delay and its indicator turns off. The workpiece must be removed from the frame before the demagnetizer stops working and moved horizontally to a position 1.5 meters away from the demagnetizer. This creates a gradually weakening alternating demagnetizing field inside the workpiece. When the mode switch is set to manual, continuous energized operation is also available.
